Product Governance Lead

Are you a highly skilled professional with a solid background in the insurance or financial services industry? Then we may be looking for you. A forward-thinking division within a leading insurance firm is currently looking for a Product Governance Lead. To be suitable for the role you must be a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in product governance, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement. You thrive in complex environments, balancing legal, operational, and customer needs. 

The role:

• Deliver products that meet defined quality and purpose standards
• Act as a key contributor in leadership meetings regarding value assessment, customer impact, and product development decisions
• Influence key stakeholders to maintain a strong product portfolio aligned with strategic goals
• Ensure all product teams comply with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Manage the impact of regulatory changes by interpreting requirements and driving organizational responses
• Monitor and mitigate product-related risks throughout the entire product lifecycle

You bring:

• Experience in insurance or financial services
• Strong knowledge of EU and NL financial regulations
• Expertise in product lifecycle oversight, risk management, and fair value assessments
• Ability to draft and review Terms & Conditions and IPIDs
• A legal background or equivalent experience
• Fluency in English (C1/C2); Dutch is a plus
• Preferred is to have familiarity with distribution channels, service operations, and rewriting product documentation.
