German speaking Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join an international Shared Services environment supporting German‑speaking markets. The role involves working across Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Accounts Payable activities, ensuring accurate financial processing and strong collaboration with internal teams.

About the Role

In this position, you will handle daily accounting operations, support month‑end closing, and contribute to process improvements. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams, provide financial and operational support, and help maintain high‑quality service delivery within a fast‑paced, multicultural setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage AR processes including cash application, customer inquiries, collections follow‑up, and issue resolution
• Perform GL tasks such as reconciliations, reporting, ledger accuracy, and month‑end/year‑end closing
• Support AP tasks when required, including invoice processing and T&E reviews
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and service quality standards
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and act as a point of escalation for financial queries
• Assist junior team members and support business continuity through task coordination and backup planning
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and KPI monitoring

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar (preferred)
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with AR and GL exposure
• Fluency in German and strong English skills
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset, and ability to work in a team
