German speaking Credit Control Agent

Join an innovative fintech company at either their Frankfurt or Berlin office as a German speaking Credit Control Agent. This role will be a maternity cover for 12 months to work on a hybrid scheme 2 days per week from the office based in the city centre.

Your key responsibilities as a German speaking Credit Control Agent:

• Managing a customer portfolio and negotiating repayment solutions.
• Deciding the best approaches within internal guidelines.
• Analysing customers’ financial situations and developing appropriate strategies.
• Improving collaboration and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is proactive, empathetic, and an expert in building strong client relationships. With experience in debt collection or credit control, you will bring a “customer-first” mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Profile:

• High Fluency in German and English to business standards (written and spoken)
• Completed commercial/legal education or a degree in business administration
• Professional experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the financial sector
• Desirable experience in receivables management
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong assertiveness to navigate difficult situations
• Proactive thinking, curiosity, and a willingness to improve processes
• Team player mentality
