Bilingual Communication Officer at the EMA (EU Languages)

We are the exclusive recruiters for the interim positions at the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The EMA are the medical regulatory organisation responsible for public human and animal health throughout the European Economic Area. They are now looking for a Bilingual Communications Officer to join them on an initial 3-month temporary (Interim) contract. Deadline to send CVs is Tuesday 19/01.

You will predominantly ensure that the content on the European Medicines Agency’s corporate website is high-quality, usable and accessible for EMA audience groups. This is an exciting opportunity to join an institution that provides a truly international working environment where everyone is passionate about public health. Extensive training is provided where you will have the opportunity to expand your skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Research, develop and write engaging content for the EMA corporate website
• Ensuring consistency and coherence in the content, working closely with topic experts
• Maintain and update existing online content in a timely manner on the EMA corporate website using the web content management system (WCMS)
• Create and update content on other EMA and Telematics websites as necessary

Profile:

• Previous proven experience as an online editor, ideally working on large websites in the regulatory, medical or scientific areas
• Experience of working with Drupal 7 and other content management systems
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Excellent online writing skills in English, with proven ability to rework complex concepts into clear, organised web content
• Good knowledge of best practice in terms of online usability, accessibility, search engine optimisation and personal data protection, and use of non-text elements
• Fluency in English and at least one other EU language -Spanish, Czech, Danish, German, Estonian, English, French, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Maltese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Slovakian, Finnish, Swedish, Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Norwegian, Icelandic
