My client is looking for an experienced Account Executive/Manager with German. The ideal candidate will have either full-service agency (account management) or client-side marcoms background in German and English. The candidate might possibly also have adaptations/translation company experience both in German and English, although this would need to be complimented by having worked in an advertising/marketing environment.

Profile:

  • Fluent English, German to Mother Tongue standard

  • Be comfortable/experienced in a client facing role (both face-to-face and remotely), with strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Have international experience, be flexible and have the ability to work with colleagues in NY, London, Singapore and Shanghai.

  • Have an in depth understanding of advertising production/fulfilment processes

  • Be a motivated self-starter: somebody able to work independently in terms of geography, but as part of the team (both in London and abroad).

  • Aim to grow the role by identifying and seeking out new business

  • Have a creative flair: understand how advertising works, how to evaluate creative work and how advertising can be most effective when interpreted for consumers in far-flung markets.

  • Extensive experience of project management/account handling within:

    • International agency experience (ATL, BTL, TTL and/or interactive)

    • The marketing services department of an advertiser (client-side)

    • A production facility or other relevant advertising industry supplier

    • A translation agency

  • A degree in a subject related to language/linguistics, marketing/ communications or media, or equivalent education

  • Previous/current work experience with a track record of successfully handling complex and multifaceted project, possibly related to the adaptation and/or production of international communications materials

  • Some experience working on international business and experience of the complexities working internationally can create

  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint computer programmes, knowledge of translation tools).
